Assignment 7: The Coat Hook: Production

While I wanted to go with a bit of a more complex design, like the plate and cutlery, I felt as though this would be a more sturdy design. I think it's quite boring aesthetically but I think it would work quite effectively. It meets the 100x100x100mm requirements, as well as I do believe it would hang nicely on two screws. It will need support I believe to print the balled hooks, but I think the support would be minimal. Not quite sure.

 Hannah Mhairi     I have some upcoming markets and I make a lot of jewelry and small things like marbles and ornaments. I wanted to make a small box that would be a little bit more exciting than regular box, and more on brand with me. Assignment 5: The Coat Hook: Concept Generation; Part 1

Hannah Mhairi Bryan Cera OBDF110 12 October 2024 The Coat Hook: Concept Generation; Part 1     Once again I think I may have tried to get to complex too quickly. Here is an overview of what I was working on.     It started with the heart design, honestly the hardest part was dealing with the points where the two half of the hearts intersected. I think struggling with someone that felt like it should have been so simple was a bit discouraging.     I think to make this design work I would need to redo the spikes/hangers, so that 1) your coats are not being stabbed and 2) I don't think (?) the direct points are technically possible to print? I don't know. I can't boolean the points to the rest of the heart and I think that is why but I do not know. Also, when I designed this I was actually designing it more thinking it would be a jewelry holder. Assignment 9: Milestones Project

 The self supporting hollow vessel, it was on the shelf one day but we were told to leave them there that day as I think Peter wanted to see them or something? Anyways was sick for a few weeks after that and haven't seen it since. I also handed in the coat hanger file late so I never got to see it printed.
