Won't be the First, Won't be the Last

This design was inspired by me trying to go SIMPLER and honest when it got featured on POTW, I figured this one would be good one to roll with. It ended up kind of looking like a female form, particularly it reminded me of, in Art History, we've seen a few images of the female form carved in stone. It reminded me of that when it was done. That's where the title for this assignment comes from. The female form has been portrayed time and time again in countless different mediums, but it is such a natural thing to want to illustrate. So do it. You won't be the first, and you won't be the last. I think people need to remember that more often when debating whether or not they want to carry out a concept. I often get discouraged when I see someone execute I thought of "on my own." But the reality is, nowadays, if you thought of it, someone else probably already has, too. So execute the idea! Because you won't be the first, and you won't be the last. You'll be one of the ones who DID.

Um anyways...here's my assignment. I was hoping that I would be able to find a stone texture to imitate the female stone carvings that I was reminded of, but alas, I couldn't find anything.

First, we have a render in stainless steel. RoughPolished 65%.

Next, we have a render in glass. Clarity 82%, IOR1.77 (I don't know what the IOR is actually changing). The colour is actually set to fluorescent green and as a glass artist it pisses me off that changing the colour doesn't alter the glass one bit! There's different ways to apply colour in glass, such as solid colour bar, or frit, so they're lacking by not incorporating those things. L Rhino, boo, tomato tomato. That's just a criticism of the program. Regardless, the glass is kind of interesting as you can see the nuances of my shapes in the top. Have a feeling that I could avoid/fix that with Boolean commands but I don't fully understand the boolean commands admittedly.

Last, we have a render in purple plaster, there is no roughness or any nuances to adjust with the plaster.

I am using a non-spiral tool path as I have 2 "bases." My bottom layer is hollow, as well as I do believe there will be a small hole in the top of the design. If that's the case, maybe you could turn it upside down and funnel 2 drinks at once. Jokes, I don't drink. Maybe you could smoke 2 giant joints at once. Pictured below you can see the small hole.

I do believe I gave my object a double perimeter, I might have done it a weird/"wrong" way though [Print Settings > Perimeters: 2].

Here are some photos of my object going through various stages of slicing.
