Voxel Model: Propane Tank

For my voxel model I decided to make a propane tank. For me, this represents summer because I am a glassblower, more specifically a flameworker, and we use propane as our gas. Glass is my passion, I am here today because of my passion for glass, and my summer was completely focused on glass, therefore, I chose a propane tank. Originally, I wanted to model the torch that I work on, but I quickly realized that would be a bit ambitious for my first assignment, as I’m not familiar with the programs we are working with. All that to be said, here is my propane tank.

Here in the last photo, you can see that the brass fitting is hollow, to allow for propane to flow of course. I added a “1075” on the front of the tank as this is an identifying number for propane, as well as to attempt to break up the solid white. I also had to turn the roughness down on the white metal, as originally it was far too reflective and looked strange. I’m looking forward to becoming more familiar with this program and having more time to play with it!
